A native of Queens, New York, Lisa Sita’s love of storytelling began in childhood, growing up listening to family stories. Her writing is inspired by her deep connection to her Italian roots and her interest in anthropology and history. Lisa’s professional background includes work as a museum instructor, curriculum writer, career counselor, writing tutor, and student advisor. She holds an MFA in Writing from Lindenwood University, an MA in Anthropology from The New School, and a BA in Anthropology from New York University. She is currently an adjunct lecturer in anthropology and student advisor for ESL students at Queensborough Community College/CUNY.
