A native of Queens, New York, Lisa Sita is a writer whose professional background includes experience in museum education, anthropology, and history. While working at the American Museum of Natural History and the New-York Historical Society, she authored several educational books for young readers on various topics. Today, much of her creative writing focuses on how culture and historical events influence the lives of ordinary people. Lisa holds an MFA in Writing from Lindenwood University, an MA in Anthropology from The New School, and a BA in Anthropology from New York University. She is currently an adjunct lecturer in anthropology and student advisor at Queensborough Community College/City University of New York.
